Why the Go-Go’s Were being ‘Cross-Eyed Drunk’ in the ‘Vacation’ Online video
When the Go-Go’s scored a strike with their 1982 one “Vacation,” the song’s music video turned an MTV mainstay. Minor did viewers know, the band was “cross-eyed drunk” whilst filming the clip.
The tune was at first penned by the band’s bassist, Kathy Valentine, various several years prior. She’d relished a temporary romance with a younger guy whilst on a journey, and wrote the tune’s initial lyrics on the plane trip property.
