SUM 41’s New Album Is “Fairly Of A Nod To BLACK SABBATH”


Sum 41 has a model new double album coming referred to as Heaven And Hell, and the Hell facet is all metallic. Vocalist and guitarist Deryck Whibley disclosed in a latest job interview that Heaven And Hell is split into a nostalgic pop-punk side on Heaven, and a steel aspect showcasing “tracks nearer to the band’s most modern sound” on Hell.

Now in a brand new interview with The Jasta Demonstrate, Whibley mentioned Heaven And Hell is “relatively of a nod to Black Sabbath” soon after host Jamey Jasta pointed out that Black Sabbath already did an album with that same identify.

“There is relatively of a nod to Black Sabbath. We’re not gonna be covering anything at all, I really don’t consider. Clearly we know the report and really like the file, and we realized that you know, contacting it this was… we kind of looked at it as like ‘well, you know what? They’ve they have experienced it for like, about 42 a long time. We are going to consider it from below [laughs].”

Whibley added the band is however doing work on wrapping up the album and that new music is hopefully coming out “quicker than afterwards.”

“We are however definitely just concentrating on the audio and it’s… the whole file is not thoroughly completed still. It is really just about carried out. We are just form of wrapping up the kind of close minimal bits. There is certainly a minor little bit of vocals, a few guitar sections. Not a lot to do, but you know – just the remaining sort of touches.”
