2007 Caicos Classic Junior Angler Champion-

Junior Angler Rules:

• 1. Hours of Fishing – Lines in the water at 7 a.m. Lines out of the water at 1 p.m. Saturday July 1st 2006. There is no Bimini start. Start fishing wherever you want anytime after 7 a.m. No kick-off party.
• 2. Weigh in anytime from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the Turtle Cove Marina. Come by boat or by car in cooler. You must arrive at weigh station no later than 2 p.m. for fish to count
• 3. IGFA Rules Prevail Angler must hook, fight and bring fish to the boat unaided.
• 4. Minimum Weight for fish is 5 lbs (except Snapper – 3 lbs)
• 5. All participants must abide by all governing laws as to size, bag limit etc.
• 6. In the event of a tie, the first tied fish to be weighed will be declared the winner.
• 7. Only fish caught during the tournament hours 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. will count.
• 8. Awards will be presented immediately following weigh in at Turtle Cove Marina. Lunch and refreshments included for each registered angler. Extra lunch tickets available for $10.
• 9. Only the following species are eligible: dolphin, king mackerel, wahoo, tuna – blackfin or yellowfin, snapper and grouper.
• 10. Billfish and sharks must be released
• 11. Anglers may weigh in only the single heaviest fish of each eligible species caught.
• 12. Catches do not have to be radioed in.
• 13. If the tournament committee determines the weather is not suitable to fish, a re-run date will be announced. The decision of the Classic Jr. Tournament Committee will be final on all issues pertaining to the tournament.
• 14. All participants in the tournament enter at their own risk. Official committee members and all persons connected directly or indirectly with the operation of the 2nd Annual Caicos Classic Junior Angler Tournament shall be exempt from any liability for loss, damage, negligence, harm or injury suffered to any participant, entrant, sportsfisherman, their companions, boat captains, crew members, vessels and equipment which may occur during the tournament.
• 15. Only the junior anglers under 17 years of age are eligible to compete – grownups join in the fun as crew.
• 16. PROTESTS All protests must be presented to the rules committee chairman Art Pickering no later than 2 p.m. the day of the tournament. The rules committee will make a decision before the awards are presented. All decision of the Rules Committee are final.
